YOUTH PROGRAMS
Rock-E House & Basecamp offers programs for young people, including expeditions, design and build, outdoor adventure, and language exchange programs. Participants are encouraged to express themselves through art, gain cultural competence, explore technology to do good, and become inspired and mentored by nature.
Each program offers experiences in the Adirondack wilderness that are appropriate for children and young adults. Participants deepen their understanding of and relationships with the people, plants, and animals that support our agriculture, and the wild inhabitants that shape our natural ecosystems.
PAST YOUTH PROGRAMS
American Thanksgiving: Nov 23 - Dec 1, 2019
Experience a traditional American Thanksgiving at the Eileen Rockefeller House (Rock-E House), an extension of North Country School. An ideal option for secondary school boarders who wish to stay in the eastern U.S. over the holidays, this program will immerse students in life on an Adirondack farm as they help our experienced educators prepare a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
(Ages 14-18).
